Labor Day Weekend as Cool as Ice

Ice-T and Coco of the VH1 hit reality show “Ice Loves Coco” kicked off the star-studded Labor Day Weekend celebrations at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

The rapper-turned-actor and his bride hosted at the hotel’s famed Vanity nightclub where they signed autographs and took photos with fans.

Ice-T gave clubgoers a special surprise when DJ Eric D Lux spin Coco’s never-before heard single. The dance track, featuring Ice-T rapping on the song, had the crowd going wild dancing.

Snoop Dogg Honored at BMI Urban Awards

LOS ANGELES, August 26, 2011 – Urban music’s top creators shared the stage Friday night at BMI’s Urban Awards at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood. The annual event celebrates the songwriters, producers and music publishers of the past year’s most-performed r&b, rap and hip-hop songs in the BMI repertoire.  The 2011 ceremony featured high-wattage star power and broke BMI records. The incomparable Snoop Dogg was honored as a BMI Icon. With seven songs among the most-performed, Drake accepted his first BMI Urban Songwriter of the Year crown. At 22, B.o.B became the youngest songwriter ever to win BMI Urban Song of the Year thanks to his “Nothin’ on You,” featuring Bruno Mars.

Teen Choice Awards

More than 100 million votes were tallied to support celebrities from film, television, music, sports and fashion. This years Teen Choice Awards hosted by Kaley Cuoco, was a night to remember!! So who showed up and showed out on the blue carpet? Here are some award categories my style.

Hair Awards!!

Lets talk about the  one of the fiercest divas in the Game Fergie

Fergie’s hair color change-up to platinum looks fabulous. The Fergalicious star wore a middle part  with lightly tossed with waves. The new hair color brings out her bright eyes and complements her skin tone. She looks ‘G double O-D’ Good!!!

Ashley Greene!!! gets the “You Betta Wurk” Award

    She looked amazing on the blue carpet!!! Hair did, nails did, everything did!! The Twilight sensation was indeed ‘Fancy’ and gave “sleek”
a whole new dimension! Her locks were smooth, shiny and colored beautifully. The breakout star won the Choice Movie Award for ‘Female Scene Stealer’ in ”The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” Congrats!!! #TeamCullen

 

 

“Bringing Sexy Back” Award goes to Lucy Hale

The “Pretty little liar” star literally brought sexy back with a sneak peak dress showing off her very sexy toned back. Her dress had just enough va-va-voom & class to bring a little spice to the Teen Choice Awards. The 22-year-old took home the surfboard for Summer TV Star Female. Congrats, Lucy!

Best cameo shot for carpet arrivals go to Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez

Looking great together the teen stars together  racked up six Teen Choice Awards. Lovatic’s fans scored her the Choice Award: Song of the Summer.”Skyscraper”  While Selena took home five Choice Awards for the Choice TV Actress: Comedy  ”Wizards of Waverly Place” Choice Music: Group Selena Gomez & The Scene, Choice Music: Single”Who Says” and the Choice Music: Love Song”Love You Like a Love Song” and Choice Female: Hottie. Congrats ladies!

Cedric to host NBC’s New Game Show

 

King of Comedy, Cedric the Entertainer, leaves the big screen to host NBC’s newest game show, “It’s Worth What?” We sat down with the award winning stand-up comedian and actor for the inside scoop on his new role.

From hidden gems found in the attic, to some of the most exotic valuables from around the globe, contestants battle through a series of challenges, discerning the price of items in each round. They then have the potential to become millionaires by guessing the cost and value  of  objects.

“I thought I was pretty good but  there were definitely times, when playing this game that I realized, I have no idea what stuff costs,”Cedric replied in response to what type of contestant he’d make.

In true comedic form, one episode features the comic teaching an elephant how to dougie!!  Don’t believe me?  Check the clip below.  And tune in to NBC for more.

Cedric joins Good Morning America’s Lara Spencer  and John Stevens (Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader) as an executive producer of the show.  NBC’s “It’s Worth What?” premieres Tuesday, July 19 (8-9 p.m. ET).

TBS & TNT All Access Pass: Essence Music Festival

TBS & TNT delivered  a behind-the-scences “All Access Pass” to the  2011 Essence Music Festival. We have the inside scoop on All Access weekend.

Over day 1 & 2  TBS & TNT ALL Access included an array of activities from Day parties and VIP screenings, to Celeb appearances.

Day 1

Hit off with a screening with the casts of House of Payne (Keshia Knight Pulliam & Demetria McKinney), Meet the Browns (David & Tamela Mann) and Memphis Beat (DJ Qualls, Keb’ Mo’ & Leonard Earl Howze) took place throughout the day, where fans and VIP’s had the chance to meet and greet and collect autographs from cast members.

 

 

Day 2

Began with a booth appearance and V.I.P. Screening with Southland’s ReginaKing, hosted by comedian George Wilborn at Harrah’s Casino Theater.

TBS & TNT partied into the evening with the “Rock the Block” Day Party at the New Orleans Board of Trade. Where Celebs and guest weren’t afraid to  Rock their body to sounds by DJ Biz Markie
